Fun Day at USF Valentine’s Affair Swim Meet - February 2016

NBA Masters Break Hearts (and a few records!) at the USF Valentine’s Affair
Seven Tunas turned out for the February 20th USF Valentines Affair at Koret Pool in San Francisco. Sarah Quick participated in her inaugural USMS meet, taking first and third place in her age group in the 100 free and 50 fly and setting new NBA Master’s team records for both events! William Tucker set a new NBA Master’s team record in his 100 IM and broke his old record in the 50 free. Melissa Lewis got best times every time she touched the water. John Griffiths set personal records in his 50 fly, 50 breast and 100 IM. April Oliver rocked her 50 fly, falling only a little short of a best time. Jeff Cooperman swam strong, especially in his 50 breast, came close to personal bests in all events despite recent injuries. Brenda Lein (me!) set no personal records, but had lots of fun and is particularly proud of negative splitting her 100 back (which also landed her a blue ribbon for that event!)
