Join Professor John Stevens, 7th Dan, and other senior Aikido teachers for an exciting day of live presentations and Aikido history, including a slide show of never before seen images of O’Sensei, the founder of Aikido.

Misogi Purification Practices:
Breathing, chanting, movement and sword and staff training at Pioneer Park, Franklin & Church Streets, Mountain View. ($15 suggested donation)

2:00 – 4:30 pm
MAIN PRESENTATION:
Live demonstrations by a variety of senior Aikido teachers, including direct students of O’Sensei, with commentary by Professor John Stevens, 7th Dan.

O’Sensei’s Life & Message
John Stevens will speak and show unpublished images of O’Sensei, the Founder of Aikido, and his calligraphy.

John Stevens is an internationally acclaimed scholar and one of the foremost authorities on Aikido and Buddhist studies. Professor Stevens taught Eastern Philosophy at Tohoku Fukushi University in Japan for 35 years and has written over thirty books on Aikido, Buddhism and Asian culture.
